Crawlzo  /  About

We engineer the structured web data
behind the products of the AI era.

Crawlzo is the partner the world's most ambitious AI labs, intelligence platforms, and data-driven products trust with their web data. We treat it the way modern software treats databases, queues, and CDNs: something you provision once, scale on demand, and trust to work. The companies building the future of AI shouldn't also be building crawlers.

Web data is infrastructure.

For twenty years, getting structured data from the web has been treated as a side-project: a Friday-afternoon Python script, a brittle Selenium fleet, a vendor swapped every eighteen months because the last one quietly stopped working. The reality is that web data now powers some of the most consequential pipelines in modern software: the training corpora behind foundation models, the intelligence feeds behind market platforms, the real-time signals behind autonomous decisions made by software the world is starting to depend on.

The infrastructure for getting that data, though, still looks like it was built in 2009. Selectors hard-coded against last year's DOM. Proxy bills no one can explain. A vendor portal with one engineer named in Slack who answers when she feels like it. Every team building something serious has been there.

We started Crawlzo to fix it, to treat web data the way modern software treats databases, queues, and CDNs. Infrastructure you provision once, scale on demand, and trust to work. Extraction by intent, not by selector. Pay for data delivered, not for retries. One call signature, every shape of data, warehouse-ready by the time it reaches your engineers.

We're not the first company to try this. We intend to be the last one any serious team has to. Crawlzo is the structured web data behind the products of the AI era, and we're in it for the long run.

Six principles. Each one is a trade-off.

Every principle below is a deliberate decision against the obvious alternative. They're what makes Crawlzo opinionated, and what lets us commit to outcomes other vendors won't.

[ 01 ]

Reliability is the product.

The job is to deliver the data that should be there. Not data that was theoretically possible to deliver if the page didn't change overnight. We optimize for the boring metric, and the boring metric is what your product actually runs on.

not: feature-completeness · not: novelty
[ 02 ]

Intent over selector.

Extracting by CSS path is a tax on every redesign. We extract by semantic intent so the pipeline survives the inevitable. The data keeps arriving even when the source doesn't.

not: brittle DOM-coupling · not: rule-chains
[ 03 ]

You pay for data delivered.

Failed requests, blocks, retries, 5xxs are on us. The bill grows only when the data your product depends on actually arrives. Anything else is a vendor passing risk to the customer.

not: per-attempt billing · not: hidden retry surcharges
[ 04 ]

One platform. One shape.

Every render mode, every delivery target, every data product: the same call signature. We resist surface-area expansion. Less for your team to learn means more time on the thing they were hired to build.

not: 14 endpoints · not: per-service SDKs to install
[ 05 ]

Compliance is day-zero.

GDPR DPAs, robots.txt respect, PII redaction at the extraction layer, encryption in transit and at rest. These are gating concerns from the beginning of an engagement, not afterthoughts. Built to drop into regulated environments without a six-month review cycle.

not: "we'll get audited later" · not: ignore robots
[ 06 ]

Docs that actually work.

Every code sample in our docs runs in CI on every commit. If the example breaks, the build breaks. The credibility of a data partner shows up in the parts your engineers touch first.

not: prose-only · not: untested copy-paste

A focused team, building the long arc.

Crawlzo is a small, focused engineering team, founded by people who lived the web-data problem inside larger companies and got tired of seeing serious products built on disposable infrastructure. We work across multiple time zones, with compliance frameworks chosen so we drop into regulated environments on day one.

We're selective about who we work with. A partner is only as serious as the relationships behind them, and we'd rather go deep with a small number of demanding teams than spread thin across a long tail. If your product depends on web data being right, we're who you should be talking to. We stake an SLA on every delivery, and bill only the rows that pass your schema.
